Laureles – Stadium

Located in the Central Western zone, it is one of the main neighborhoods in the history of the city. This has a large area, which has different subdivisions such as: Bolivariana, San Joaquín, Naranjal, among others. This makes it an attractive neighborhood for students and tourists, as it has spaces for recreation such as: cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, parks, bars and nightclubs.
Also in here, it is located the sports unit Atanasio Girardot, an excellent place to exercise as well as enjoy a football match of local teams. On the other hand, it has a great facility of access to public transport, having close bus and metro routes, all this creates a young and full of life environment.

La Floresta

Ubicado en el centro occidente de Medellín, La Floresta es un barrio Located in the center west of Medellín, La Floresta is a historic neighborhood which was previously comprised of farms characterized by its large area. Due to the growth that the city had, this neighborhood is now known to be very residential and quiet. Among the activities this neighborhood offer are: cafes, casinos, bars, clubs, restaurants, as well as its proximity to the Atanasio Girardot stadium and its sports unit, for sports. It is also important because it has a good bus route, a metro station and an “encicla” route that connects it with the rest of the city.

Belén

This neighborhood is located in the south-western area of the city, it is one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Medellín, and like the other neighborhoods on this list, it has a large extension and a couple of subdivisions. The attraction from this neighborhood is mainly in its easy access to public transport and its old charm, which makes it quiet and cozy.
In this neighborhood you can find a variety of parks, pedestrian areas, proximity to libraries, shops, bars and more.

El Poblado

It is one of the main neighborhoods of the city, with a large extension, is located in the south-eastern area and is recognized as one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of the city. Due to its large size and geographical location (mountainous sector) this neighborhood is divided into three: Low, medium and high, the lower part being the flattest area where the mountain begins to appear and the upper one where the steepest area is. El poblado has several advantages and attractions for young people and tourists. Thanks to its great beauty and luxury is one of the liveliest sectors of the city, in it, you can find places like: shopping centers, restaurants, museums, a great variety of commerce … In addition, it has one of the main areas to go to party in Medellín, which is known as “the lleras park”. El Poblado is located near the EAFIT university, CES and the Jaime Isaza Cadavid polytechnic.


As for public transportation, El Poblado has its own metro station, encicla stations and bus lines. However, being such a large and mountainous area, transportation in medium and high areas can be a little more complicated.
